Khouri Attends Joint Holy Saturday Service of Episcopal and Lutheran Churches in Ramallah

Dr. Ramzi Khouri, member of the PLO Executive Committee and head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, took part in the joint Holy Saturday service held by the Episcopal and Lutheran Churches at St. Andrew’s Church in Ramallah.

The service was led by Reverend Fadi Diab and Reverend Munther Isaac, and was attended by Ramallah Mayor Issa Kassis and members of both congregations. The event underscored the significance of ecclesiastical and spiritual unity, particularly amid the ongoing national and humanitarian struggles facing the Palestinian people.

The observance took place as Palestine continues to endure dire circumstances, especially in the Gaza Strip, where military aggression, siege, and famine persist. In the West Bank, violations have intensified, including military raids, arrests, and home demolitions. Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, restrictive measures against worshippers, both Muslim and Christian, remain in effect, particularly during religious holidays, in clear violation of the right to freedom of worship and access to holy sites.
